If amp is turning on and you have no sound then I would check all the speaker wire connections, at the amp and at the speakers, [subs]. 94

If it was the remote wire your amp would cut off completely. Most problems like these are either a bad ground or your amp can't power what you have it may be gettin hot. If you are listening to your music loud and have your gain and everything adjusted real high it's probably your amp not being capable of running that high. Also, if it's a mono channel amp that is 500w peak power and your trying to push two 12's, it's probably over heating. If you knew the exact specs of the speakers and amp I could def diagnose it fir you.

I use to have this problem so yes i would double check the ground, power wire, remote, and check wire on the woofer configuration. Is tha amp new or old? How long was you playing the system? Did the protect light came on while you put the stereo on?

when the amp goes into protect mode its generally and most likely your ground. the remote wire is obviously good because its getting signal from the head unit to turn on then going into protect mode. so double check the ground or better off find a new one. good luck tho

If you checked the speaker wiring and it is good you will need to get the make and model of the subs and the model of the amp.

Also need to know the gauge of the power and ground cable, how long the ground cable is and where and how it is grounded?

What kind and size of fuse is in the amps power cable?

Without the above info we are just guessing. 94
