Default 1st time at the track, comments please!!!

I finally made it to the track tonight, and this is what my results were. Keep in mind this was my first time ever at the track, so don't flame me too bad It was pretty busy so I only got 2 runs in Nice and cool out though.

Car Specs:

1995 Accord EX Sedan 5spd
Greddy Header
AEM CAI
Greddy EVO
Front tire pressure @ 20 psi
All KYB AGX set to stiffest setting
1/8 tank of gas
Stripped of passenger seat, rear seat and spare tire

1st Run:

R/T: .726
60: 2.646
330: 7.164
1/8: 10.863
MPH: 66.63
1000: 14.061
1/4: 16.788
MPH: 82.63

2nd Run:

R/T: .768
60: 2.569
330: 6.971
1/8: 10.627
MPH: 67.93
1000: 13.765
1/4: 16.419
MPH: 85.36

All in all, i'm somewhat satisfied. I had a blast, i know that. I figure if I have a better R/T, I will make low 16's. My second run, I spun out a bit at the start, and I still did better. I also shifted much later than my first run. What gear should I be in at the end of the run? I was in 3rd on my second run. Any tips would be great!!

your 60 ft should be 2.3xx and possibly 2.2xx which will bring your times to around 16.0 and with some quicker shifting you really should be able to run a 15 something on that setup...practice practice practice

your reaction time does not affect your e/t...

Man I wish. Speaking of, there was a civic with an H22 and a turbo, ran a 12.7 I believe.

Your 60 foots need work homey.
Suggestions on how to improve it, and what times I should strive for? Overall, what should my 1/4 be? Low 16's? Sorry i'm such a n00b

damn, that is surprising about that civic...h22 only fit with a modified engine bay and a turbo would definitely not fit right, are you sure it wasn't a b16 or b18 motor with a turbo?

and also, your 60 ft's are all about take off...are you getting good traction through first? and also, what rpm do you launch at ?

a turbo h22 is hatch is possible, their is a shop in houston that has that setup done and offers it to any customer who has the money/***** to own a turbo h22 civic.

so try and not jump to conclusions and state false information that other may believe

H22 fits fine in a civic. The 92-95 civics you have the beat the frame rail in a little, but it does fit. The 96-00 civics need no modifications except motor mounts.

I'm guessing that you should be running mid 15's at least. Just work on that 60-foot time. I hit a 16.2 my first time at the track(after having the car for about three days), and my best the second time was a 16.116, but I never practice racing except when I go to the track, so I'm not that good, but I still pulled a 2.316 60-footer. My car is stock though, so I think that you should be able to do better.

About that civic, his license plate said H22T.... plus I looked and I know an H22 when I see one

Mid 15's I could be running? Damn, I did shitty. I thought I was aiming for low 16's since I saw a few 97 and up preludes run 15.7's...I guess they did shitty too. Oh well, i'll practice my launches. I didn't even look at my rpm's that I launched, I'm a n00b

Try a little more air in the tires, I usually stagger mine fl,26 and fr,24. I believe this helps. Try riding the clutch a little more and launch with as little wheel spin as possible. I've managed a 9.9 @ 70 in the 1/8 with similar mods. But I am thinkingI will see high 15s at close to 90

H22 fits fine in a civic. The 92-95 civics you have the beat the frame rail in a little, but it does fit.
wtf are you talking about. you don't have to beat ****. it's posts like this that give people bad info and make them scared and come on here and ask 100's of questions about h22/civic swaps. btw: accords suck for drag racing. i should know i have one.

Deep stage to shallow with a little timing you'll improve your R/T and hit the ground running
