Default Turbo Newbie Q's: External Wastegate, Catch Can, boost controller....help

I'll start off w/ the wastegate. The Greddy TD04H kit I have has the internal wastegate. Can I use a Tial w/ this kit? And if so, how? Any advantages/disadvantages other than the pretty red/blue wastegate on the top of my mani?

Catch Can. I know the use of it, but how effective, and for the $80 is it worth it? Where does it hook in, and how much of a PITA?

Manual Boost controller. W/ the Greddy kit, how does this work? When turning the dial how does it change the boost w/ the internal wastegate?

you cant use a external wastegate unelss you tap your manifold for one and close off the port for the internal wastegate
manual boost controller would work same way as on a external wastegate... it bleeds off (more and more as you turn) so the wastegate doesnt open as fast

Well... "tap" isn't exactly the best word... more like "weld a flange" but even then, you're dealing with a cast iron manifold, which really shouldn't be welded to that extent. To disable the internal wastegate, you can either weld the flapper closed, or simply disconnect the vacuum hose going to the acutator.

I wouldn't worry about the catch can personally.
