Default Details on replacing input shaft bearings and seals

Im looking for a write up with some decent pictures I dont think its going to be a problem for me but I just wanted this so I dont skip any steps. I have my tranny ready to unbolt I just have to go buy a new lug nut key so I can take off my front rims and pull the cv axles then Im ready to unbolt the tranny Now that being said should I have a Jack on the tranny with a block under the motor so it dosnt drop to much or should I have the jack under the motor. (with bords so I dont dent the oil pan)

place jack w/ wood under oil pan...b/c if you put it under the tranny you cant take out the tranny

So How high up should the car be and do I have to take the whole wheel and Rotor off or just the tire
