Default Oil temp really high even when cruising on highway

I see really high oil temperature even if im cruising on highway. (around 210 F)
I'm reading oil temp signal on the oil filter relocator from the Mfactory oil cooler kit.
But the way my setup is made, the distance of my downpipe and the relocator
is around 2inchs 3 max.
Is it possible that the heat from the downpipe is heating the oil relocator and giving me
wrong temp ?
Im running with motul 300v oil.

Thanx for any idea.

those temps are normal for a non oil cooled turbo engine. mine runs the same temp or more depending on ambient temprature and how high you are reving while on the hwy.

something must be wrong if you are seeing the same temps as a non oil cooled setup.....

if the downpipe is not wrapped in any way, then I would suspect that is you problem. Throw some header wrapp on it and see if it helps

You are right, my downpipe was not wrapped. I wrapped it today.
And put a kind of sheet of metal to act like a shield between my oil filter relocator and the downpipe.
Lets hope it help.
Thank you guys for your input

Oil Temps need to get over 212 Degrees. Otherwise you will not burn the contaminants off the oil. Water doesn't boil until 212deg. Modern oil temps can easily handle oil temps of 230deg. Modern race oils can handle 300+deg.
