Gentleman,

I have a 91 crx with a b16a. i bought it from a friend awhile ago and the poor vafc2 hack they performed leaned the ctr internal'd b16a out and melted the pistons ( cyl 2+3 ) and she blew up. he claims that its a 2nd gen b16a with a cable j1 trans.

now that i am replacing the engine and am obd-1 converted i was thinking of the gsr route.

if i remember correctly ( plz correct me if im wrong here ) the splines on the output shaft are different then those on the gsr. thus not allowing the 1st gen trans to be used on 2nd gen b series?

or can i use the j1 trans on the gsr with a different clutch set up?
