Default help...

i am planning on swapping the motor in my crx...i am thinking of a B18b...or a B16a...but when i checked prices on the B16a the price for the first gen was really cheap...so is it still a good motor?...whats the difference??

the first gen b16a motor IS for a crx. there is nothing wrong with it.

well the 1st gen engine was from 89-91 SiR1's and was rated at 160hp/111ft-lbtq and also came with a cable tranny , the 2nd gen engine was from 92-00 SiR2's and was rated at 170hp/113ft-lbtq and also came with a Hydrolic
tranny , besides the tranny i think the only differance is a sligly larger dome in the piston.

The second gen b16a also has more agressive cams, and a WAY bigger throttle body. That thing is HUGE.
