Default Car won't idle

Hi, I just put a b16a1 from a 88-91 crx sir, into my 99 hx. The engine doesn't have a crank position sensor, but my car has a plug for it, is it possible to swap the sensor onto the new motor, or do I need a different ecu?

thanks,
Adam

it's possible, you can get that part from a 99-00 civic si engine, but it'll be a hassle to put it on. I think using an obd2-obd1 jumper harness with a chipped p28 or p30 ecu would get rid of the need of a crank sensor.
