Crank angle sensor= Bad idle?
Would my crank angle sensor not being hooked up cause my car to have a shitty idle? I just got my car back from the shop from getting new valve seals and it wont idle worth a damn and it sometimes cuts off.Ive changed cap, rotor, plugs and the ngk wires are almost new..Its a b16a2 from a 99 si and im running a p28( in a 97 ex) and dont have a code but i noticed the sensor down by the crank pulley isnt hooked to anything and i cant find anything to plug it into. I dont even know if this sensor was used when i got the motor put in and i dont know if its actually the crank angle position sensor. Ahh help i need to drive back to school!!

Not sure about the sensor being totally unplugged.... but I've had a crank sensor go bad and it screwed up the idle. I would assume that you would get a code 4 or maybe 9 though. The crank angle sensor is in the distributor though, I'm not sure what your referring to next to the crank pulley.
I'm no expert though, I've just had some problems with this sensor.
