Default Do i need a crank sensor????

I'm putting a b16a motor into a 98 civic ex. I'm using the ex engine harness with a obd2a to obd1 jumper harness into a hondata s300 p28 ecu. On the wire harness there's a plug for crankshaft sensor..my b16 doesn't have the crankshaft sensor.. do I need to have the sensor in oder for the car to run or since I'm using a obd1 ecu I don't need the sensor... this is a full race car..no inside harness..just a switch panel to engine harness to control ignition

you have answered your own question I think. for confirmation though, you're correct, you won't need it since the ECU won't be looking for it. there is a "crank position sensor" in the distributor. that's all you need.

tell them that's dumb. a harness it just wiring bundled together. as long as the wires go from the sensors you need to the ECU that's looking for them (and to the right pin of course) then it will work.
