How often do you change your fuel filter??

 

Did mine once at 25,000 miles like the manual said, back in 1993. Next time it was changed was at 216,000 miles when it became a full race car.

 

10k just to be sure

 

yeah thats what i was kinda thinking, because i changed it about a year ago right after i did my swap, but i just wanted to hear some expert opinions

 

I change mine every 15k.

 

How bad of a mileage do you guys think Im getting if I haven't changed my fuel filter in like 70k miles?

 

My 05 Legacy GT with 108.000 miles has the original fuel filter.

Most people never change them. My 86 Ford F150 has it's original as well as the 97 Suburban.

 

Yeah I was wondering that, I just wanted to see if I could get better mileage changing one.

 

i never actually compared the numbers, but when i did change it i noticed an immediate improvement on mpg and the motor seemed a bit smoother

I thought on the 96 and up Civics the fuel filter was good for the life of the car?

 

i am only the second owner of the car, i don't know if the original ever changed it but whe i did last summer i was suprised at what i found. When you have the filter out of the car shake it around and see what comes out, mine looked kinda like chocolate milk!!!!
