Dealer says never change your fuel filter?
I figured i would change my fuel filter since my car has 110xxx miles on it. I figured its got to be dirtly maybe i'll free up some power and fix my low idle problem. I think its the 02 sensor though and i'm going to change that friday 
Well a asked a dealer a question about how to remove the filter and he told me that honda filters are good for the life of the car. I don't know if he's right because he also told me that honda's have mass air flow sensors.

well unless something has changed i was always told they are part of routine maintance at either 30/60/or 90k miles, so i change mine about every 30 thousands to be safe, to change mine i would use 2 box wrenches on the bottom, one to hold the hex on the filter and the other to turn the fuel line fitting.

Ummm...so you would'nt change your oil until you started having problems because of it. It's like 20 bucks, so just go ahead and change it as part of your maintenance.

change it man, it's one of the easiest things to do..... it's sitting right there, you don't have to do anything else but relieve the fuel pressure, and yeah it's only like twenty bucks.....

my fuel filter from the dealer cost 36 with tax. And that damn bolt on the bottom is a pain in the *** to get off.

If you never replace it, one of these days your car will not start cause it's gonna be clogged up...

yeah i need to go and buy some wrenchs all the ones i had were too small. I think when i do it i'm going to take it out of that holder from the fire wall and take off my intake so i can get good leverage. I tryed loosing the nut with a cressent wrench and i couldn't get in there. I'll do it friday when i cange my 02 sensor. Any thing i should know about that or is it just screw the old one out and put the new one in?

****, when I pull the fuel pump fuse my car won't crank at all. Check under the dash and the little thing should have a label as to which one the fuel pump fuse is. Just put a towel over the top banjo bolt so when you crack it loose you don't get fuel on yourself.

When i took off the top bolt a little fuel came out and that was with out doing the other stuff. I couldn't get the bottom bolt off but i figured with the pressure released from the gas cap fuel would not spray out.
