new to classic hondas... just a question please
I foudn an old S600 hatchback for sale ( i dont know the year) looks pretty beat up... bad paint dents ect. owner says it just needs a timing belt to run. owner wants 700 bucks for it. do you guys think its worth it. keep in mind im looking to do a restoration and im not very familiar with pricing or availability on these old parts. please give me some advise!
not worth it at all. give me the address so you don't have to worry about it..
honestly, we'd need pictures to assess the situation.

yah cuz i have NO IDEA how much these are worth lol... ill get some pics up maybe over the weekend when i look at the car. thanks
The S cars are rare in the US (and pretty darn rare everywhere else). Check out this web site http://www.hondasportsregistry.com/index.php for about the ONLY source of parts.
Just to give you an idea, Jay Leno has a convertible version. A lot of guys are totally rebuilding them with S2000 drivelines... but that is a VERY big job.

Well if you're used to bolting in things with kits, and having 4000 different places to buy parts, you're probably going to get frustrated with a Honda this old.
thanks for the info guys.... but the seller was even more uneducated than i was.... when i went to look at it it was a 76 civic... not an s600.... waste of time i guess :-\
