bouncing rpms?

Default bouncing rpms?

just started today..after driving alittle i stop at a light n my car starting bouncing rpms..usually idles at 500..today it was idling at 1000 and kept bouncing to 1500 while idling at the light..only seems to do it when the car is fully warmed up..its d16z6..im thinking its a vacum leak..any other options?

take the IACV off and clean the screen and also make sure you put 12 volts to and make sure that the valve in there moves smoothly.

took iacv off..cleaned and ran 12 to it..valve ran smooth..help alittle by cleaning it..had a steady idle at 1000..still bounces alittle 1000 to maybe 1200..a slow bounce..doestn constly do it tho..what else could be a little prob..didnt check ny vacum lines yet

what year car are you driving because your FItV could need a good cleaning too

Not sure about the FItV, but a loose vacum line could possibly be the culprit

Don't quote me:
But I had once heard that if your car begins to give trouble starting with weather fluctuation it could be a good indication on the IAC

sounds good..ill try cleaning the fitv to see if thats the prob..after i cleaned the iacv it idled at 1000 fine then a day after it started doin it again just not as rapidly
