idle problems with my b20 integra
alright so recently, about 3 weeks ago, i swapped a b20b into my teg. Car runs smooth in motion love the torque and what have you, but there is one slight problem. When idling, it idles a little hard, and "puts" every now and then. it doesnt try to die and like i said revs and runs fine when in motion, but this "putting" and harder idle is getting annoying. I have adjusted the idle screw and what have you many times to try and see if i can get a correct idle. it Idles at around 750/800 rpm. so its stationary from what i cantell i just dont get this "putting." I have many people told me that it is the IACV probably needing to be cleaned out.
I was concerned it may be the timing but it doesnt seem to mis fire or anythign of that nature and seems like it runs fine. I have searched this forum for something that looks to be happening to mine and i found a few threads but i wanted to make one of my own to explain my problem, i just want to get to the bottom of this. i am goign to clean it out this week and hope for the best.

yes iacv can be a problem with lopey idles. you can try unplugging it while running which will throw a light, just plug it back up and turn car off and reset the light to see if it helps. but usually a bad one is a bad one and it will only get worse.
yeah i already tried that, i am thinking of going ahead and trying to clean it out, and then if it doesnt work maybe just replace it. i just dont want to spend the 305 for it just yet. but yeah i did the disconnecting of the sensor and it still does this. so i am hoping thats what it is. it never did it on my air intake when it was on my old ls motor thats why im just a littel confused.
