Default ideal sized turbo for b18c1

I have 98 obd2 gsr......planning to boost it
i am mainly going to be lapping the car at places like shannonville, mosport, cayuga and calabogie. I am looking around 300whp around 10-14 psi. Going to be using itr or ctr cams and valvetrain, 9.1 compression pistons and rods (most prolly CP)

I want to build an efficient, reliable motor with a 3500rpm to 7500rpm rather than peaky power band. So, I would like to know which turbos would I be better off choosing?
Replies from people will real-life experience would be preferable.

Thanks,

gt2871R if you have the budget for it, other wise a t3/t04e 50 trim would sufice for 300whp and spool really fast and have smooth power.

i would agree, for 300hp t3/t04e 50 trim would do it, plus they are cheap. but why settle for 300hp, your gonna want more lol, boost is addictive, you could try a 62 billet turbo from precision. i had one on my b20, made great power and spooled up quick.

50-57 trim would do the job.

I agree the billet 6262 is a great turbo, but why get an 800+hp capable turbo when Precision makes smaller and quicker spooling billet turbos. You could get one that spools like a GT28R and makes 600whp.

If you are going for a good budget turbo, Holset HY35 has fast spool and can get you up to 400hp if you ever wanted. Also it can be had for less than $300 easily.

That is kind of what I've been thinking about. . . What is it? Assuming it is ball bearing, is there a slightly later spooling, similar model that has journal bearings?

60-1 I always loved the late spool feel

thanks for the response......i was looking at revhard turbo kits but i heard they are cheap quality.....does anyone have any experience with them?

My goal is to make a **reliable** and **fast** turbo Gsr in dc2. I was going to sell my gsr and get an 98 spec ITR, although its a very nice engine. If I am going up against gutted egs with b18c5s putting down 200-220whp....I would need a lot more power than just a ITR in DC2 chassis. Note: Should I just an ITR swap if I am more concerned with reliability

Has anyone installed these turbo setups on their cars, if so? how long did they last you? how often did you race? circuit racing or drags?

Also, around 300whp in terms of just straight line speed what kinda 1/4 mile times would I be pulling off?

Talk to theshodan on here. If it were me I would look for something that I could roadrace and drag with gt30r, STC silver surfer, s256 or s258

Honestly I would just do a 10.5 housing'd Evo turbo. great spool up, and will meet your goals very effectively

What type of exhaust manifold would be used with this setup?
