Default b7 block z6 head 10psi?

I recently put together a mini me swap for my ek, previous owner threw a road. I used a b7 block with a z6 head. I used ARP headstuds and a 3 layer steel headgasket, also has exedy stage 1 clutch.. I have a garret .60trim i want to run on it and the wastegate i have is set for 10psi which i know a z6 will handle all day with a tune. I have been told a mini me has higher compression than a normal z6 so im curious as to how much some of you are running on a relatively stock mini me? I dont want to see the thing blow up, and its my dd

i wouldn't push those rods in the b7 bottom end very far, they are very tiny.

more info on your turbo is needed.

i'm going to be running the same motor setup without the ARP head studs, i'm only planning on running about 5-7 lb's but i've been told when boosting a mini it won't last long because it is higher compression then a z6 and you cant find rods for a d15 anywhere. i've been looking for last couple weeks.

ya i just done see why it wouldnt hold up i know of people tunning 13psi on garret t3/t4 on a b16 thats all stock, makin 317whp.. So i dont see why a D with only 10psi wouldnt? I found a dyno tuned base map for a t25/hf mani setup, so i thought about setting my turbo at like 6psi and see where my afr's are. and either up or lower the boost to where its about the point the t25 was putting out.. just an idea though

its not neccesarily the psi that blows the motors its the fact that the internals are not built to handle alot of power. the internals are very small and thin compared to any b series motor, or even a d16 or d17.

do NOT run the basemap for the t25 that you were referring to. It's doesn't work based on pressure. Obviously on a t25 you will need more fuel sooner as it will spool relitively quick due to it being small in general. Your thundbird .60/.63 (most common setup for these turbos) turbo will spool later and give you better top end power. Also the Thunderbird turbo flows more CFM than a t25 does, which will cause you to run SUPER lean. If you are going to turbo your car, don't get cheap on the most important part of the setup....the tune...You might get lucky and not blow it up but as for reliability *shrugs* who knows.

Cliffs:
If you boost your car spend the extra $400 bucks for a tune...or atleast $40 bucks for a basemap that might be close to your setup....

yes i know this, i can basemap it myself.. I have ostritch and chip burner just no wideband so i was thinking if i could get away with a "tune".. but i will just run a basemap based on the what the motor is putting out, not quiet sure how im setting up the block but its pregress.
