Default New to the honda world

yo whats up just got a 92 honda civic about a mouth ago. I wanted to get a car that was good on gas and to keep miles off my Focus. haha bought it brand new in 06 and have 57000 miles. So yea my buddy was selling a civic for $1000, but its not the origianal motor. He put a 1.5 SOHC V-tec E motor in it. When i bought it the cheack engine light was on, haha and my buddy said he cheack the engine and it was still their haha. but i used a jumper wire and found out its the heated oxygen sensor but it the O2 sensor the same for all the V-tec E motors, 5 wires? and not sure the year of the motor? it says (honda V-Tec E) on the valve cover?

You should be able to determine which engine you have by looking at the block plate. It should be down by the exhaust manifold on the engine block, left side by where the transmission mates up, look for a flat square that's angled up, should your have engine model stamped onto it (among other info).

its pretty obvious that he has the d15z1 92-25 Civic VX VTEC-E motor. It has 5 wires because VTEC-E comes with a 5-wire Wideband O2 sensor.
