Jackson or Greddy?
I have a stock b16a with headers and exhaust its chill but i want a lil more power, But heres my thing i am bar'd so i wanna stay legal now the jackson street kit is Carb eo equipped but so is the greddy. im havin a lil difficulty deciding what to do. the reason why i ask is i thought that jackson was the safest way to go and it will give me the torque i need but lots of people been sayin if i tune correct and only boost like 6 pounds they should last the same whats the happs on that?

if you are looking for just a little more power and aren't planning on ever boosting over 8 psi go with the jrsc, but if you really want more torque go turbo. with good tuning they are about the same as far as reliability. I would definately not use the "fuel management" that comes with either kit, they are garbage.
you have to choose for your self buddy, dont ask others what you should do!
do you want to hear a supercharger whine or a turbo blow off valve?
do you want to make power at bottom end or top end?
do you want to make do extensive labour and cutting for an I/C and oil lines and **** or is that no matter since your handy?
I personally would go with the Turbo kit why? because its much more efficient in terms of power. you waste big percentage of the gain you made from using the supercharger just run it. ie lets say you gained 60hp of the supercharger originally, youll waste about 20 of that just to run the damn thing since it operates off your crank! another thing I hate about superchargers is the tone that comes with them, turns your ferrari like sound into an electric lawnmower like sound, turbos kills in that area too with its sweet wistle and blow off valve. the supercharger also makes to much response at low end causing wheel spin at launches while the turbo is perfect with a little turbo spool you get traction, and when you get traction at half way through the gear you get turbo BOOST= much better 1/4 times vs supercharger boost!
I would only go with a s/c if your really really looking to make more power at bottom end rpm'S

i personally have a jrsc on my b18c running 8psi soon to be 11psi and i've had no problems. True you tend to spin a little off the line, but it increases low end power which goes hand in hand with the vtech, and it's high end strength. Also it's not as bad for the engine, or so i've heard

I think it is equally as bad for the motor as it does the exact same thing, just using a different method to run the compressor.
turbo is better but its a much bigger pain to do. Tapping oil pan, changing manifolds, special **** to be able to keep PS/AC, etc. I went turbo and i know what its like. If you want some simple bolt on power i would do the JRSC. Its alot more simple setup and alot easier to install.
