92-95 Civic Fog Switch Pinout Diagram
Hey, does anyone have a diagram which marks the designation of the pins for the fog switch for a 92-95 civic?
I have both an aftermarket and an OEM switch and they are both wired differently. If you could, post a pic of what wires are connected thanks!

From Hondaautomotiveparts.com
So I was doing a little bit of mixing and matching and let me see if I can get this right.
NOTE: This is for an OEM switch

Can anyone confirm this?

OEM 5th Generation Civic Fog Light Switch Pin-out, if looking at the wire side back of the connector, with the clip facing up:
CDM/USDM:
1 - RED/WHT
2 - RED/YEL
3 - BLK
4 - RED/BLK
5 - RED
JDM
1 - RED/BLK
2 - RED/YEL
3 - BLK
4 - RED/BLK
5 - BLK
Want to know how to modify a JDM switch harness with your aftermarket foglights to get them to work like they are supposed to in North America? I'll put together a DIY. It's not very hard.

Yeah that'd be great. Im just wondering what the pinouts are. The wire colors are irrelevant. Im using the wires from a defroster which has the same 5-pin connector.
Let me know if ya can get that DIY up, itd be a good resource here on Honda-tech.
Thanks!

If you're wondering what the pin-outs are, then cross reference the CDM/USDM wire colours with the diagram you posted above for now.

Okay so here are some pictures I took of the fog switches. I thought I bought an OEM switch, but I think that its the OEM-style switch that has the faceplate of an OEM switch. Go figure? I might've been ripped off, but that is besides the point.

This is the supposedly OEM switch I received. (Frontside)

I want to hook up the lights so that the when the parking lights are on, the fog lights go on. I realize that is needs to be hooked up to C918. However, when I did this, the illumination of the switch is always on even when the parking lights are off.
I want to switch everything over to OEM when I have the chance. I need the brown plugs that go into the fusebox and the brown plug for the plug hanging off under the dash coming from the firewall.

so you wanna use the switch or not? if you just wanna have the fogs on when the parking lights are on you dont need a switch you just need a 5 pin bosh style relay

Using the relay, the switch turns on the relay which turns on the fogs. But, explain to me the connection on the 5-pin relay. Im assuming its going to be connected to the parking light VCC.
The pinout diagram is from looking directly at the pins in a vertical fashion from top to bottom.
ok well you gotta find out wich wires are wich.. whtas ground whats power all that
get me the colors of what the wires go to and i can tell you how to wire it using a 5 pin bosh style relay

To help you resolve this, I'd need to see how your current harness is wired. This, however, is NOT how CDM/USDM OEM foglights are wired. OEM foglights in North America can only be illuminated while the LOW beams are ON. They turn off when HIGH beams are used. They cannot be turned ON only when the parking lights are ON, nor when all other lights are OFF. I don't understand why you would want them on with just the parking lights anyways? This cannot be to increase vehicle conspicuity while parked. This isn't how JDM foglights work, either. Does this also mean that they will be on at all times while your headlights are ON, too, LOW or HIGH?
So the question is: How can I get this wired correctly? The wiring should be just like the stock OEM wiring under my dash. The only different with the fog lights is....the main power wire coming from the relay (which is inside the engine bay connected to the battery) runs from the engine compartment through the firewall into the interior. The red wire is then connected to the switch.
Any input is gladly appreciated!
From the fogs themselves, there are 4 wires and those are running through the relay first)
Blue (voltage to fogs)
Yellow (voltage from battery - 12v VCC)
Black (ground)
Red (wire that runs into the cabin of the car to the switch)
Update: Got everything running the OEM-style way. Thanks for the helps people.
Now, to get these things to run the OEM way. Looking forward to a write up.
