I managed to break the pulling piece for the hood release latch on my 99 Si and wanted to know if replacing the whole hood release latch is rather easy. If anyone has done this before and could let me know how to do it that'd be great, thanks.

replacing it is really easy. as soon as you get down to it... you will see.

 

the latch and the handle that pull the cable are seperate. replacing the latch is real easy. 3 10mm bolts and its pretty much out. you'll need to remove the bumper to get to the 3rd bolt which resides under the latch. replacing the handle requires you to pull the driver side fender lining or pull the fender if you'd like alot of room to work in. aswell as having to remove the latch to unhook the cable since the cable and handle are 1 piece.
