From where do i disconnect it from. Like the 94 civic they can easily be unconnected from under the dash but for my 00em1, I think I have to do it from the hood. Let me know from where.

 

You have to do it from the latch itself. Remove the bolts and the plastic and it should become very clear on what you have to do. You might have to take off the bumper to get to it. And you will definitely have to remove your driver side fender liner.
