car dies when trying to rev
98 civic with the stock obd2a D harness. gsr motor. it has an obd1 dizzy with the rywire dizzy adapter. and has obd2a p72. all the plugs are fine
now its started after charging the battery. it idles at 500-600. and when he revs it the car dies or wants to die. hes not able to drive it....any suggestions

yeah. i told him to stick the paper clip in the jumper harness dealy to find out what code. he still didnt answer me. hes checking tdc right now.

after putting the paper clip in the jumper dealy it flashes 4x then stays lit. i now its the crank position sensor. but the gsr motor doesnt have 1 does it?

was the car running fine and then when you turned it back on it would die?
this happened to me... my FP is very high and I run a little rich, so I managed to "flood" the motor and really mess up my plugs.
Do you smell a lot of gas or anything out of the ordinary when you start her up?

he has a stock fuel pump...would that matter. i know he needs to get a bigger one but at idle?.. il give him my other dizzy cap and see if that works
Things I would check:
1. Any CEL would really tell you what is going on.
2. Pull the plugs make sure they are good.
3. I assume your getting spark?
4. You have gas right? don't laugh if the gauge is broken you might not. (open the fuel door take out the cap and rock the car listen for the swashing.. you have gas. heh)
5. Injectors?
Wow thats all I know.... sad really.
