Default new throttle body, new idle issue

i just got a gsr throttle body from Ahknodd on the forum. now im having issues with the idle. It idles really high like at 1500-1800. I tried bleeding the cooling system and playing with the idle screw valve. Don't worry guys i think i did it the right way by unplugging the IACV then adjusting. I did notice something different on the throttle body. it was missing a nipple on the top of the throttle body. I had a z6 TB on there before and it had a nipple on top. the gsr one doesn't have one. I currently blocked off the coolant line from the manifold which is supposed to goto the TB. Is this the problem? help me out guys.

Could be a problem with the TPS. Check the resistance/voltage and see if it's correct.

Does it bounce from 1500 to 1800 or just stay there? Is it all the time or infrequently? I had a Y8 throttle body that would just stick a little bit. I cleaned the butterfly with some degreaser and no problems since.

Since you don't have the nipple on the TB, then you have a vacuum line that is unplugged (since your car, im guessing is OBD1, the old TB had a vaccuum line on there, pre TB for the EVAP system, and OBD2 TB's don't have that vacuum nipple). Vacuum leaks cause high idle.

Cap the vacuum line, or Tee it into another. should take care of the idle problem.

the idle is nice and steady at around 1400. sometimes to idles perfect at like ~900 rpm when i first start the car. as i drive, the idle is at ~1400. the engine is a y7 OBDII with a z6 manifold, gsr TB OBDII. the line i blocked off is a coolant line from the manifold.

In addition to the IACV, does the throttle body also have a fast idle valve? Does the disconnected coolant line go to the IACV?

yes the TB has a fast idle valve. the coolant line doesn't go to the iacv. I already have two coolant lines goinging to that. maybe I have them mixed up? but then i still would have one disconnected. 3 hoses 2 holes...lol kinda like 2 girls 1 cup.

Does the disconnected coolant hose go to the FITV?

the coolant hose off the manifold is blocked off. Does it goto the FITV? if so which one?

Maybe the diagram below showing coolant hoses for the D16Z6 engine will help. The IACV (EACV) and FITV are connected by one hose, whereas the other two hoses are for coolant input and output through both valves.
