well i have a h22a swapped del sol and was thinking about trading it for a k20a3 swapped eg coupe. i know that the a3 is the base model motor. would it be worth it to trade? can always get a a2 head later on down the road. what do you guys think?

 

it will be like trading for a b16 eg coupe but atleast in has all swap parts , and i would just swap the entire k20a2 and not just the head

 

yea thats what i was thinking. but i was debating on if it was worth it or not. the h in the sol is pretty quick but i was wanting a little more. but cant afford a a2 swap right now. was curious if it was worth to trade, and if it would be at least decently quick. havent seen to many a3 swaps in egs. lol thanks

 

is the eg nice n clean?

ppl make good power with the base rsx

get it then boost the a3 good for lik 300 with boost

but its up to you

 

I would stick to your del sol unless you plan on swapping an a2 motor in, then everything will be simple because someone made the modifications for you already in order to swap a K.

go look at clubrsx.com n look at base model rsx turbo they make good power for a a3

 

if i did trade i would put a a2 in it eventually. or go boost. but i havent heard to much about the a3 swaps, the eg is ok, its primered, but clean body, and interior. so idk, havent seen or havent rode in a a3 swapped car so i dont really know what to expect from it compared to the h. lol

 

i think the H would be faster but if you boost or a2 or z1 swap it it would be faster and you can go around n tell ppl you have k swap hehe

i would do it. its more expensive(the k20) and u can swap the head later and make 200. and its got more torque than a b16.

tempting.. but tranny is a 5 not 6 speed ?. if so, tranny and head would be the preferred to be swapped and if thats the case no.

 

yea i know the base comes stock with a 5spd but the car has a 6spd on it now

 

it already has a type s tranny? if so I would trade cars and get a k20a2 long block with kpro and you should be good.. otherwise the H has alot more power and torque than the weak k20a3 whether its in a light eg chasis or not.. those a3 motors are shittttt
