I was just wondering if this will work? An automatic y8 IM with the TB going on a DX head? I know the difference of the IACV, etc...

I just want to make sure, cause I know the IACV is on the TB of the DX while on the EX 5 speed's its on the back of the IM, but on the auto EX the TB is basically the same as a DX I believe

it also depends what yr that auto y8 IM is .. i believe the 99-00 have air injection holes or something on it .. and the 96-98 dont .. so you'll need to cover up those hole .. there's 4 of them on there i believe .. thats only if you got the 99-00 IM or if you already have a 99-00 civic then i think you'll good .. but yea should bolt right on
i did this same setup on my 96 DX a while ago

I am using the 96-98 IM. So I started the swap, but forgot which vacuum holes go to what. I have 2 ports coming off the the TB and 4 coming off the IM. The 2 large ports on the front of the IM, 1 smaller one up by the TB which might be used for the FPR, and then there is the same size port on the back of the mani which can probably be used for the FPR as well. Any pics please?
Also there will have to be some wires extended. I have to extend the TPS and Map sensors! Damn more wiring

The 2 ports on your throttle body are for coolant. It goes from the Small coolant port on the intake manifold flange than into 1 port on your TB, than out of port 2 of your TB to the metal coolant tube on the back of the block.
Now on to the 4 vacuum nipples on your intake manifold. The small nipple on the back driver side of your intake manifold will be blocked off with a cap. The small nipple near by the TB is used for the FPR. 1 of the bigger nipples will go to the evap sensor, the other bigger nipple will go to pcv valve.
There is no wiring extension necessary. Take the wiring branch of the TPS/MAP/IAT and take out the wiring loom holding them all together. Separate each sensor wiring and re-wrap them individually with electrical tape and new wiring loom. There will be just enough wiring length to reach each sensor. Hope this helps you and good luck.

Thanks man! I appreciate it! I did some searching of the set ups and after sleeping on it last night I figured it out! I guess I just needed that extra assurance! As for the wiring thanks for reminding me of doing that and not extending wires!
Once again thanks for the help! One of the very few to do so

Ok so I got done doing the swap and now my temp gauge is reading 100% hot! I don't know if I have a air bubble somewhere in the lines or what? Also my brakes are hard as fawk! All I did was turn the booster hose upside down so I can run it under and not above.
