h22s are not that much heavier. 30lbs isnt a big dif. h2b will just help it fit. i know that h22 motor and tranny you gotta bang alittle on the chassis on the tranny side to get it in. h22 have week cylinder walls though....dont boost too much. sleeve it then do 25lbs of boost youl be happy.

I would say do the B swap because it will be easier. But if you want more power just do the H swap. I am not an expert but even though the H is heavier it will still haul ***** on a B....unless you get and ITR swap. Spend the money and get what you love.

I'm in kind-of the same boat as you OP. I would love to do the H swap, but a B just makes more sense on my budget.

Yes, the H22 is cheaper than a B18C (motor for motor), but you'll need to upgrade your cooling system a bit in order to keep the motor happy, which increases the cost of the job overall.

Also, with the H22 you will lose your power steering (which in a daily driver is a HUGE bonus).

But, like it has been said, build the car you want. If you want the torque and ***** of the H22, then by all means go for it.
