well long story short the block is at the machine shop and my turbo kit is waiting .
i guees it depends on you but i hated paying big bucks for 5 hp at a time

I think its gonna end up being your preference. Id say go with all motor because of the nice throttle response you'll have and I think it would end up being more reliable just because not many people build their boosted cars up to handle it and it ends up blown. Whatever you do, build it right so it will last you or dont expect to have it for too long.
Yes turbo does suck I guess 300hp on a stock b16 for 3 years is not reliable, if you like spending lots of cash for good throttle response then stick to NA.

i dont really care for the b16a2 but one of my friends has a 99 si he built the head left the bottom end stock, basic bolt ons and is running a gt35r dual ball bearing turbo he pulled out 325 to the wheels on a tune by churhes 12psi
well depending on what ur power goals are, u might not have to build it up. 200-300 on a good running engine would be no problem. but i wouldnt go past 300whp. also boost is different on ever turbo so if u go boost dont set ur goals as psi set them as whp
If you wanna stay all motor just grab an HB2 kit and drop in a J spec H22...180-190whp with TONS more torque than even a built NA B16
If your gonna boost it find a reputable tuner who knows what they are doing 275-300whp should be easy and cheap
With simple pistons and rods you should crack well over 450+whp with the right turbo
Power is never really the issue with an FI setup....its the clutch, the axles, the tranny, the manifolds etc...more gremlins to keep track of
Highway pulls....FI monsters kick ***
Cayon runs....built NA > vs laagy turbo setup
All depends on how you like to drive and what you find "fun" while behind the wheel
I can tell you right now with even just a basic J spec H22 you will pull ALOT of cars...once you get into the 230-260whp range it will be quite a little monster...but everyone can hear you coming a mile away
The boosted setup is slightly more sleeperish as they may hear the hiss but until your wastegate opens up its a pretty mellow sound whereas the NA setup just sounds louder even at 1/2 throttle
For me the biggest frustration was always cops and the sound thing....NA...more cops will hear/follow/harass you than boosted....so if cops are an issue in your area the boosted setup may keep you more low key and off their radar
The best part of the boosted B16's is they dont make as much torque so wheelspin isnt as much an issue as are the larger boosted setups that dont hook for **** on street tires...
I am currently leaning towards a G23 setup just because of how much fun it is to school people with a tiny NA 4cyl...they are looking for Nitrous/s/c or a turbo and all they see is a header and an intake...lol just 4cyl
Good luck...they are both fun and Im sure either way you will learn something new

I one read on here... "Getting NA power from a B16 is like trying to fill a swimming pool with a squirt gun."
That being said... and reading the post above mine, I would go FI if it was me. Turbo Hondas dominate on the street.

if you have not seen this thread, it would be a good read to see what setups people are using and the power they are making. https://honda-tech.com/forums/forced-induction-16/b16a-turbo-setups-1365747/
