dpfi to mpfi and obd0 to obd1 questions
Im going to say this clearly, I searched and couldn't find the answers Im looking for.
I got a 91dx which was converted to mpfi (by Nihad here on ht). Car ran perfect with its d16a6. Than I decided to convert it to obd1/p28 with conversion harness, soldering, etc. After this conversion I never turned the motor on because of some finance issues so I had to sell the d16. I went to a friend here in town and he gave me a built motor for pretty cheap, b18a1 with no dizzy/tranny. I bought all the extras I needed
b18a1 - 90-93 integra What OBD is this?! obd1? obd0?
So this is the problem, I read on some threads that I cannot run a obd0 motor with obd1 ecu, so I need to convert back to obd0?!
Other day I finally got it to crank and Im assuming it will not turn on because of wires sticking out of the conversion harness, pulled out over time I guess, so I will contact monotech

b18a1's were obd0 from 90-91 and obd1 from 92-93. You can run it either way. if you choose obd0 you will need an obd0 dizzy and an obd0 pr4 ecu. if you want to do obd1 then get an obd1 diz, and an obd1 pr4 or p75 (which you already have apparently at this point). You will also need an obd0-1 ecu jumper with subharness, and a 4 wire o2 sensor.
If the injectors are obd0 injectors then you will need to run the stock resistor box with them, if obd1 then you can delete the box. do so by removing it and then connecting the 5 wires that went to the box to eachother.

yeah i got the obd1 dizzy. i see in your sig that you swaped a b18 in ur hatch. on the back of the block there is a oil pressure sensor and 2 other sensors which i will not use (i was told not to use them) they are right by eachother, how many sensors on back of your block are in use at this point?

i only have a oil pressure sensor on the back of mine. on the obd1 engine the coolant fan switch was relocated to the thermostat housing. on your engine it appears you have the oil pressure sensor, and the 2 coolant switches. the one with the 2 prongs is most important. its what makes sure your coolant fan turns on.
