Default electrical dash problem

i bought a 90 dx hatch with no chassis or engine wiring. i put a complete 91 si harness in it and have a weird problem. my temp. gauge starts climbing only when i turn the lights on. my fuel gauge is way over the full mark but when i turn the lights on it comes down to normal. i turn my 4 ways on and my high beam light pulses with it. and finally my left turn signal works fine. but with high beams on it switches to the right side.... there are 2 connectors that i had hooked up wrong. the blue one and the cream colored one. they are correct now. could this of fried my dash wiring or something?
