Default Dash/Electrical Problem

I just picked up a 91 si hatch. and for some reason the only gauge that gives me any sort of reading is my temp gauge. no speed, nothing so im thinking its part of the wiring harness myself. and i have a 5th generation si gauge cluster that i put in and it still didnt work. and i replaced the speedometer cable but still nothing + the newer gauge cluster has addtional plug wires that come off of them and they need to be wired into the harness cause there is no space for them to go into. is this something im going to have to put it in the shop for? or can i order new dash harness and other wiring harnesses i need somewhere?

thanks, Casey
