Do I need a bumpstop?
My dumbass accidentally threw away my stock shocks along with the bumpstops. I need them, don't I?
Does that explain the reason why my shock bursts out of the engine bay when I lower the car back down?
****, I feel like a moron...

you should definatly feel like a moron
yes you need the bump stops. im sure you can get some from honda for not to expensive. youll want to chop them in half tho to avoid bottoming out on the bumpstop prematurely.
i have no idea what you mean by your shock bursting out of the engine bay... did you tighten all the bolts?

its not a common thing. at least it wasn't for me. I only had it happen when I'm going full tilt through a turn and I run into a bump or inconsistency in the pavement... then *WHHAAAMMMM* the shock bottoms out (on the compressed corner). You gotta be cranking it though....
