msd ignition
can someone point me in the right direction on how to install an msd ignition to my car? i have a 93 ej1 with a mini me swap. ive searched and searched but cant find a write up or anything.
Save yourself the trouble and leave the OEM set up in there. It's good to way over 400whp.
95% of the racers here will tell you MSD and Honda don't go together well.

1992Si is correct. The stock ignition system sparks just fine for most any swapped Honda. MSD ignition is great for older cars or if you have no ignition to start with, however. If you feel as though you need it, it is a relatively easy install. Do you have just the ignition box?
yeah i found the install guide. i just want to try it out for a little bit. its got a 8000 rmp rev limiter so i just want to dink around with it. i understand its not gonna do much for me but it wouldnt hurt to try out on a project car.
red and black go to the battery, red and white go to the original coil wires and black and orange go to coil. the diagram is in the install book that comes with the msd box. ive used an msd setup for 6-7 years. coil went bad once, other than that it works fine. i use it to retard my timing for nitrous.
i didnt get it brand new. my brother got a ford probe with the msd ignition and he pulled it and gave it to me. so yeah its used but he said it works good. he didnt feel like he needed it and gave it to me because d15 engines can take a beating from my experience.
