Wheel bearing about to give up the ghost.
How do I get the big *** gold-colored nut off? Do I just cut the top part that is bent in to lock it off?
Or is there an easier way? I tried prying but no dice. That is no ordinary tin strength, it is super strength!
Thanks guys.

There's alot of ways to get the axle nut off. Most require a breaker bar and a long pipe for leverage. Good luck with that.
What I highly, highly recommend is that you drive your car to any mechanic, tire shop, or jiffy lube and kindly ask a guy to use his air gun to spin the nut off. Then, crank down the axle nut with your 32mm hand wrench. Give the guy $10 for his troubles. Now you can safely drive home and take off the axle nut with hand tools.

OP just get a large 31-32mm socket, breakerbar+ pipe to extend the leverage of the breaker and put your weight into it with the tire mounted and weight on the ground to keep from turning. Otherwise yeah hit it with an impact gun.
o yeah good luck! this took me like a week to do and i tried everything! i drove on the breaker bar and it broke, i used a 2 foot pipe extension on my new breaker bar and it broke, pb blaster and new breaker bar and pipe and it BROKE! so finally after clearing the parts place of their breaker bars(fortunately under warranty), i drilled two holes in the old axle nuts and with some brute force they finally gave! and now ive been changing my stupid cheap axles with no luck lol....

Oh and for the part of the nut that's bent in, you can just take a flathead and tap it out with a hammer. With a good impact gun this is usually unnecessary.

I should just get a new nut too right? So I can bend that thing back in to lock it?
Try a punch and hammer to bend it back, then a 32mm sock it on an impact gun, works for me...1/2 drive on a breaker bar with some leverage.
32mm on a 1/2 drive ratchet with the jack handle on it. use a punch and a hammer to get the bend out. or a small flat head and hammer careful not to break the screw driver
Anyone know the part number for it? Or if it is called something other than the wheel bearing? I looked in the parts catalogue for acura and I can't find it...
