Default tuned ecu's, chipped ecu's

Probly going to get flamed for this. Is there any company out there that makes a descent "tuned ecu" Plug & Play? Is it worth giving all the engine specs for them to supposedly design a ECU tune for your set-up? Anyone have any luck with Speed Innovations or Phearable.net? Let the flamming begin. LOL

What companies supply are just basemaps for your setup. We can generally get the more simple setups pretty close. Something like an all motor gsr with cams or bolt-ons is generally pretty close on a base tune.

BUT the whole reason for getting a chipped ecu or a tunable ecu is to get the car tuned specifically for your car, in the conditions that your car will be driven in.

hey there my names kimberly. im new to this site. i was planning on ordering my ecu from speed innovations tomorrow. did u get one yet ? if i go through with it i'll let u know how it works . the guy explained to me its easier to just be able to plug it into your stock harness. i have a 88 civic hatch i just put a d16y8 in . i hope their ecu works. bcuz the damn diagrams for the pm5 wire colors do nooot match mine so i have been having loads of trouble figuring out the pinning. please wish me luck.
