How hard is it to tune your own ECU? What is needed? Usually the "tuners" use the P28 ECU but how or what/where do they plug something in? Would it be worth while getting a Hondata S300 for the USB connection and program to self tune the car? I just think it would be nice to do it myself rather than have to keep going back for re-tunes with new mods.

 

if you have no idea what you're doing, please take it to a tuner. theres a lot of harm you can do.

well first off the tune the car and adjust the ecu the two go hand and hand

 

Thats what I meant tuning the car by tuning the ECU or changing the settings. Is there a chip needed to be soldered in? Some software program? How/ what do I plug something into to change the settings. I'm not up date on EFI lol Give me something carburated and I can tune it like a pro.
