My car just acted up yesterday. At first my RPM meter started going crazy and the idle was going up and down and after a while it just won't go up over 1000 rpm now unless i give it some gas but when i do it just makes this choking sound, idk if you guys can hear it from my vid cuz it was kinda windy outside, sorry but i really need HELP cuz i can't get to school or work without a car and i really have to know the problem asap to get it fixed. Anything you guys can think of is verry much appreciated!! thank you!

Man...that doesn't sound too good, bro. How many miles is on the motor? It may be time for a new/used motor.

 

no exactly sure how much is on it cuz we just replaced it with a used one so i don't think i wud be the engine?

yea i have no idea but i figured out the problem tho. Whenever my car starts cold it wud be just like in the video. It won't run at all but it will stay on. Once the car is warmed up to the point of operating temp and u can hear the radiator fan on then it will be able to run like it was before! NORMAL! i don't understand why when it's cold it won't. I have to wait at least 20 mins or more to get it heated up and can't press the gas pedal cuz it just makes that choking sound and won't rev the engine but when the car's hot it wud.. HELP me . I recently cleaned both the IACV and the FITV but those didn't do anything to fix it. Could it be the distributor?Any ideas guys? this is driving me crazy

when i disconnect my iacv (electronically) the cel is on? and when i connect it again it stays on? this is during the car's operating temp by the way with the coolant fan and everything on

 

My 1991 Honda civic Si Ef just starting choking too, my car started to run low on rpm when i was driving in freeway, sounded like it was choking on gas because every time i try to accelerate it makes this choking sound? i though i was running out of gas so i put gas in it... that wasnt the problem. next thing i tried was adding fuel injector to see if it had slug or anything else inside the fuel tank... write now ima tried removing the battery to see if it will reset the system... if that dont work i have no more ideas? can any1 who has and idea let me know ASAP...
