ABS are not working

Default ABS are not working

Can somebody help me with a problem that i have on a my 93 civic vti saloon (eg9). driving along today and ABS light came on ,so checked the service plug and it show me there is a problem with the front right speed sensor. (code 4 / 1).

Can somebody tell how to change the speed sensor ?

Can somebody tell how to change the speed sensor ?
It's pretty simple. You may want to check the resistance of it to make sure it is the problem. Maybe someone will post the spec, I don't have it here. Throwing parts at a car to fix a problem can get expensive.

Disconnect the connector and measure the resistance between the two wires with an ohm meter.

where about do your dissconnect the speed sensor form ,is it behind the the disc and did it only two wire going to the sensor.

dont know about checking the resistance..but mine went on and the fuse blew

Has anybody got any pictures of the speed sensor ,so i can see what i am looking for.

The sensor bolts to the knuckle. Follow the wire up the knukle and through a grommet into the engine bay. Keep following it until you get to the orange connector. That's where you check the resistance.

I have check the resistance and it was 26 M ohm and the one that is working is about .733K Ohm . can somebody please post what is the correct resistance of a working front right speed sensor

26 million ohms is way too much, replace it.

Sh*t got a price for 1 speed sensor for my car £124+vat (that what i get for only a EG9 )
