S300 installes -> constant CEL
hello
hello
i have just put a new engine into the car, pulled the hazard fuse and injector plugs to prime the oil system with out any problems.
but when i plugged everything back in to start up and leak check the connections i got a constant CEL when setting the key to position "2", shorted the service connector but no blinks.
the green LED to the right of the USB plug is constant on, but the red on next to it is flashing.
but when i plug in the standard ecu there is no CEL....
car: 1998 euro ITR
engine: 2l LSvtec
ecu: s300 tuned in USA after the engine was assembled and shipped back to me. ecu is fitted with OBD2b connection, OBD2a->2b jumper installed
so there should be a correct map stored in the hondata, but as i read here on the forum it would be a risk for me to connect a laptop with the newest Smanager installed....
is it safe to start? is the ecu in limp mode?
any smart heads out there to help me?

dont really remember the ecu name, but it was the original ITR ecu (PR3 maybe?)
the engine was built and tuned by endyn and shipped to me so i really dont have any clue of the map. but no knock sensor installed

Please check the ecu model number & make sure the knock sensor is disabled if it doesn't have a knock board in the ecu.
Have you tried contacting the dealer you purchased the unit from ?
i dont think there is any approved hondata dealers i norway.
well i bought it from a member on HT so i dont think there is any good aftermarket support :S
but i got a backup on the map so i can try to upload that

started fine and warmed up on idle.
but to new smaller problems came up. the tachometer in the dash dont work, but hondata and apexi RSM reads it fine.
overheat warning came on, coolant system needs bleeding and try to figure out why the fan did`nt start...
