Default honda prelude 89 si 2.0, problem starting the car

I've had this problem for awhile, maybe someone in here can give me some suggestions on what i can do to solve it. The problem i'm having is the car would start and sometimes it wouldn't. I have installed a new diehard battery and remanufacturer alternator and replaced the starter with a used one. I have power to my car stereo, interior lights and headlights and the battery strength seems to be okay. I have a car alarm that I can disable completely but it is still connected. Usually when it doesn't start I would jump start it with another battery and it would start. The multimeter display 14.5 volts when the car is running and it seems that the alternator is charging the battery. Has anybody heard of this strange problem before? This is just my backup car but i would like to get it working. thanks

you may have gotten a bad battery, take it back and have it warrentied and see if that fixes your problem
