ok so i ran my car at the track and when i shift it makes a weird sound that i havent heard anyone elses cars make

i guess it could just be wheel hop or something...

Hard to tell, does sound like wheel hop. Does it do it all the time or just when your racing it around? A in car video would help out some with some hard driving and normal driving.

umm not sure, did it in every gear at the track

 

Haha yea it happens more often then that. 3rd car,then 20th-23rd car, then wait a year and try it again lol.


But for the op, I'd start checking motor mounts, How hard is hard in your shifting? Then I'd start checking suspension, tire pressure if all checks out good. Then I'd check the clutch parts. After that or before all that though I'd check does it on the street do that?

I'm just guessing crap for track prep, street tires and a newer driver, any one else?
