vtec activation switch needed when using a 92-95 Si ecu??
Im about to swap a d16z6 into my 88 crx. Am i going to have to make a vtec switch if im using a ecu from a z6 engine? Probably a stupid question, but its buggin me. Thanks.
I'm about to do the same swap as you, sorry I don't know for sure. But I think as long as you are using the 92-95 EX/Si ECU you don't need any aux type of vtec activation. You may need an ODB0-ODB1 conversion harness, however. I would suggest lelopes, I think that's his name, he makes them for a reasonable price... it makes the conversion much simpler.

all you need is a p28 ecu,obd-0-obd1 convertion harnes,92-95 distributor,and
i think you need to run a wire from the selenoid to the ecu for vtec activation
