Vtec RPM Switch
i just put a jdmd15VTEC in my 93 del sol. i have the wire ran from the ecu to the seliniod...my quesion is do i have to have a RPM activated swith to make VTEC work or is that a luxury type thing??? i don't wana pay for VAFC.

im not quite sure what your asking, but if you have the vtec ecu then it is programed to to engage vtec at a certian rpm.no switch is needed.Hope this helps.

i think he just got a swap in and needs to hook up the vtec to the ecu. you need pins to connect it to ECU. it will activate on it's own in the ECU

Bingo! i just got a swap and wasn't sure if i need a RPM switch to make the VTEC work in general. Thanks guys....also i need a JDMD15 VTEC ECU as soon as possible so if you got one or know someone who does LMK Thanks
