what would be the best tranny for this setup
jdm d15b fjt custom lengh rods 75.5mm vitaras holset hx35 evo 550s injectors CSAddic manifold jgs 40mm wastegate 20lbs boost. car is a gutted 10pt cage 92cx. I have a cx tranny just not sure if i want to use it

Get an EX/Si trans. They're great for acceleration.
(though the 180mph top speed on the CX trans's 5th gear is tempting.... .... ....jk.)

EX/Si with a longer 5th I would think would be ideal, I like to cruise at night a little fast and you rev a tad on the high side with the stock 5th imho, but I'd take a stock EX/Si over the CX any day :p.
my main concern with anything other than the cx tranny is that when the holset spools at 5k rpm it is going to blow the traction to hell and i think the cx may allow me to accelerate more without the loss of traction or at least not as much loss of traction. Does that sound wrong?
with the cx tranny, once you get traction it will be slower than the ex, but with the ex you will be slow until you get traction and then it goes much faster than the cx tranny. either ask someone that has done this before or try it out yourself and let us know which is a better option if you get that chance.

use the cx tranny.longer gear trannys go great with boost.if i was going to keep my eg and boost it,id take a ls tranny over a b16 anyday!
Honestly the conflicting information in the thread says you should start a thread somewhere in the transmission or forced induction section... Where someone actually knows the answer.
I would think the shorter gears would put more torque to the ground throughout the whole range, yes you may have problems with traction in first and second, but I would think it would more than make up for it after imho, but I don't drive a boosted car so what do I know. Also read up from MFactory's website, there is a lot of helpful tranny info there.
