CX tranny is useless for any application.....

get a Si/EX tranny the gears/FD are on par with B-series LS tranny, which is good tranny for boost...

ok the guy i bought the car from says it's a ex/si tranny but the gears feel pretty long....1st gear i get to 40mph and 2nd i get to 80mph what is normal for a ex/si trans

i am turbocharged too btw if that has any effect

CX tranny is almost equivelant to the Si tranny here

CX SI
1st: 3.250:1 3.250:1
2nd: 1.761:1 1.900:1
3rd: 1.066:1 1.250:1
4th: 0.852:1 0.909:1
5th: 0.702:1 0.702:1
Final Drive: 3.250:1 3.250:1
both have a open differential
the only difference is a slight one in between 2nd-4th

That's not close... Totally different... Those numbers look close but in reality will make a world of difference....

thats exactly what i always thought
some guy told me a CXs 3rd gear went to 100mph.... and i was like yeah 5th gear is probably slower cause the motor cant spin that fast with that gear ratio
haha
