Default auto cluster in a manual swap pics

ok so i got an atuo gauge cluster from a junk yard for $40. onlly thing wrond is its from a auto and my hatch is a stick and i have seen so many posts on if this will work and stuff so ima make a mini build thread if you call it
I first started with the auto cluster with the wrong mileage.

then i started to take it apart removing things that my car does not have
Such as the auto lights and plugs

Then i removed the cruse control light since im going to use the bezal from my hatch

and the pile of stuff i will not be using

Now i ordered threw honda new fuel and temp gauges that will not have the p-r-n-D4-D3-2 in the middle. it was 44.59 new but i got it cheaper cause i have a friend who works there.
once i get it in i will have more pics but im now just waiting for parts.
Also does anyone know were i can order amber bulbs for my gauge cluster?

I hate to tell you this, but with the $40 you spent getting the cluster, and the ~$39 or so with the Honda discount for the fuel and temperature guage overlay, you could have purchased a manual cluster, had it shipped to your house and still had enough money get a case of beer and your amber bulbs...

but for trying to DIY..

well the new gauge is 33 buck which brings my total to 83 and most gauge clusters i found that were manual were 100 bucks plus shipping and the auto ones were around 60 plus shipping. i did check that before i payed for the new one. the amber bulbs came out to be 7 bucks so a total of 90 bucks.

I have an auto Jdm SIR cluster in my civic. I dont think it'd be worth going through that for mine, especially when it works perfectly fine. Just seems like a waste of money tbh.

so today i got my gauge in and it came out to 31.09 with tax. here is the pics. i will have the night shots later once it gets dark but everything works and even during the day the amber lights look sweet. cant wait till the sun sets.

I also used the gauge bezal from my origanal cluster cuz the EX had the cut out for the cruze control and my car does not have it so i used my bezal that does not have it cut out.

*there wasnt any trouble. i used the speedo from my dx so i keep the milage which was held in my 4 screws and the gas gauge which was 6 screw. once i got the cluster out of my civic it no more the 10 mins it was in and working.
*i searched for a few weeks for a cluster and could not find any deals so when i went to my local junk yard he had one EX and it was auto so i snatched it.
*i also made this cause this is a very commen question if people can swap this so i thought i would post a little how to.

Nice write up, F them hater's. Good deal though I can't seem to find a cluster with a tach for less then a bill either then if I do its a auto. So for less then $80 you got a good working one and did the amber bulbs. I think I might do that now. Look's clean to.

haha very nice man. Here's the EX cluster I put in my dx. I did the bulbs opposite that you did lol. Try ripping that plastic piece out of the top of the cluster, it lets a lot of light go through. That's what I did at least!

*junk yards around here are slim to none and the only integra i have seen is a black DA. even if i did use the integra cluster it would not fit right. y not use a cluster that is ment for the car instead of hacking it up to fit an integra one i dont get the point of that. im a perfectionis so i dont like things half *** or incomplete. that meens when i install that integra cluster and theres a gap on the top right and left it will look like ****.
* just like the out side of the car i dont like to swap panels from other makes. so if i put the DA or DC front end on my civic people will flame like crazy cuz it looks bad and the lines dont match at all. just like the inside, i use parts ment for the car. i have seen this done and the wiring is somthing i do not want to do cause i bought this car for a daily not a project car. plus people have to use wire tie or pipe straping to hold it up if not the integra cluster will have a 1-2 inch gap at the top and to me that is sloppy looking.
* now when someone does a swap like that i will not flame or post anything because its there car and they most likely to not want to hear my negative comments so i keep to my self.
* can anyone appreciate and good old DIY that was not sloppy or half *** that had a few good tips.
