Default b20 del sol

i am doing a swap in my del sol i was wondering what i should do with it ....should i do the b20 or a b20 vtec and what would be best for boost

if you plan on boosting a b20 whether its b20 or b20v you should built it and sleeve it. the b20 block has thin cylinder walls and is known for blowing easily. if your going to do a b20 swap regardless i would throw a vtec head on it to make more power.

i also have 2 obd 2 ls motors will the ls be a better boost i just want boost

right now i have a jdm single cam v in there i mean it moves but i want the tourqe of a b series i be ls and gsr's all day

huh? you beat ls and gsr's all day with the single? or you want the b20 to beat gsr's and ls?

i beat them with my single cam all day i know it comes down to driver to but damn all i have in my single cam right now is light weight crank pulley,header,full exhust with high flow cat,cold air,8ilb fly wheel, stage 2 clutch,chipped p28 and a short shifter

sorry but gotta call BS here... no way a single cam vtec is beating a gsr without internal mods and a bigger cam etc.

as for the b20 your going to have to build it to make it more reliable. 7-8lbs tops with a t3/t4 setup is all i would run to keep it together.

well i only wanted to put like 8 pounds could i run that safely ...but on the bs factor i swear i beat them all the time i mean i had it in my hatch and i traded for the del sol and my hatch was gutted

8 pounds would be fairly safe, but it all depends on the tune as well. if it is spot on you should be good to go. i wouldnt try for much more then that though.

personally no, they create heat spots in the area it is.

yeah everyone was telling me i need a block gaurd but i heard the same thing what would be the best to keep the block together ...i plan i doing pistons and rods and apr rod bolts

do you plan on running forged internals? if you do you might as well sleeve the block too so you can run higher boost and get the full potential out of your motor.
