Well, im new to the forums, I plan on buying a 91 Civic Hatch with the B16A the guy says its sleeved pistons, rods, and a DC header, the guy said he is getting shipped out to iraq so he wants $1500 for it, It seems like a hell of a deal, but i dont kno much info on the B16 engines and upgrades for it. Im just here for a lil info and help on this. if its a good purchase or not a great idea. Any info will help

 

Sounds way to good to be true. The block probably has a block guard in it, which gives the illusion that it has sleeves in it. If you are interested in buying it, I would ask for receipts of all the work, if he can't come up with it, I wouldn't buy it.

You should start off in the FAQ sections stickied at the top of the first page and just read a little about all the engines.

Don't buy the car blindly, maybe try and find someone that might know what they are looking for would be the best way to go about it if you are able drive/look at the car.

 

Ya modded cars are hard to buy, unless the person is like me and takes a pic of every part that goes on the car and takes them before install and after to ensure all parts are there and are good.
PS- my 4 door is up for grabs...
