Default Re-Searching: RFL Blow Off Valve

What do you guys think about it??

I tried finding some info, but got nothing but, saying its really loud. My brother has one he was going to install.

But wanted to know the pros and cons before putting it on. heard it can get annoying.

Let me know whats up!

It's ok...i had one on my first setup. If you want someone to know you have a turbo setup, it's probably the easiest way to announce it. I found it kind of annoying after a while and opted for a Tial instead. Also, i was getting some compressor surge with it. Other than that, it was a fun little thing for a while

Here's a shitty video of my car with the RFL. It sounds a lot different at full boost and from a distance

Cool, that was my concern that it wouldnt hold high boost. like 25-30PSI on a big turbo.

How bad was the compressor surge??

That's going to depend upon the number of washers you install in the valve. Too many, and it could cause the surge. I personally didn't like the damn thing, as it got annoying after a while, and had to lubricate the damn piston with WD-40 or even oil every few months.. Bah...

lol, I had the SAME experience! Fidgeted with how many shims to put in there forever and I had to lubricate it all the time. I actually let me friend use it on his WRX for a while and it siezed on him doing some awd donuts up at the mountain lol. But yea, it's really loud. It sounded like it was inside my dash.
