is it only 2-3k? or after 2k up it does it?

Maybe a Simple Tune Up Is Needed. Double check all sensors. maybe the TPS Throttle Position sensor needs to be adjusted or replaced.

if it just needs to be adjusted no it wont. and now you say its like a rev limited i know what your talking about. my brother had this same problem and we took the distributor apart and seen metal shaving inside it so we replaced it and it was fixed. its either that or your ecu is in safe mode. which i believe means it found somthing wrong and wont let it rev high. but since u dont have a CEL then id check the dizzy.

A bad ECU will also put it in limp mode. If possible, swap ECUs and see if it fixes it.
